To
offer more people the chance to visit Mackintosh's tea room interiors
and experience the beauty of his designs, the Willow expanded to
Buchanan Street and located in the building adjacent to Cranston's
original Buchanan Tea Rooms.

Here the White Dining Room and Chinese Room, which Mackintosh designed
for Cranston's nearby Ingram Street Tea Rooms, were recreated. Like
the Willow in Sauchiehall Street, both interiors reflect Mackintosh's
contrast between masculine and feminine. The White Dining Room is
filled with elegant high backed chairs, leaded glass and bright
interior, while the Chinese Room is dark and atmospheric.
Since opening in August 1997, the Willow in Buchanan Street has
established itself as not only a peaceful sanctuary for local shoppers
and business people, but has proved equally popular with Mackintosh
enthusiasts keen to experience his wonderful work first hand.
Both
rooms are available for private functions and offer a truly unique
setting for a most memorable experience.Mackintosh enthusiasts keen
