This design was originally produced for the menu cards of 1911 for Kate Cranston Exhibition Cafe and Buchanan Street, Argyle Street, Ingram Street and Sauchiehall Street Tea Rooms. Margaret Macdonald and her husband Charles Rennie Mackintosh worked closely with all of Miss Cranston’s businesses.
